Darrell F. Schuler, D.D.S.

Dr. Schuler received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Loma Linda, California in 1985. In 1986 Dr. Schuler opened his dental practice at the Clocktower Square. The practice was relocated in 2002 to a modern new facility, at 400 South Potomac Way, Aurora, Colorado. Dr. Schuler is committed to serving the community that he has been a part of for the last 25 years.
The Aurora Hills Dental Practice is a state of the art facility offering the highest quality dentistry in a comfortable, relaxing environment. From the moment you enter the front door, you will realize this is going to be a different kind of dental experience. The reception area is warm and inviting, and the team will treat you like a guest. You will recognize that the facility is modern and clean, with the latest technology in dental equipment. Digital and panoramic x-rays are displayed on large, easy to view monitors. The quiet electric handpieces, and the IO Glasses for movie viewing during your dental treatment, will make your visit more relaxing. The large picture window in each treatment room creates an open and inviting atmosphere.
While Dr. Schuler has advanced training in dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and all phases of restorative dentistry, it is his desire to meet the patient’s goals. The initial consultation is aimed at meeting your perceived needs, as well as making you aware of dental needs that you may not have recognized. At a follow up appointment, we will review a suggested treatment plan which will explain
recommended treatment options, costs, and available insurance benefits. Every effort will be made to insure that you understand what treatment is needed, and the best way to address any concerns.
Dr. Schuler is passionate about his dentistry and his patients. To keep balance in his life, he also loves to spend time with his family in church and school activities, working around home, or just relaxing. You might find them sailing on Lake Dillon, or participating in 4-H programs. When time is available, Dr Schuler loves to explore the back roads and mountain towns of Colorado on his motorcycle.

Kris has extensive background in the dental field, with over 23 years of experience. This is evident in her vast knowledge of dental procedures and insurance, and her willingness to help you maximize your dental benefits. Kris is happy to help answer any questions that you may have regarding your care and dental insurance. She is willing to check on your coverage prior to your first appointment, thus minimizing any surprises. Her level of professionalism and positive attitude will put you at ease while managing your dental care.

Lisa A. McLeod - B.S. RDH

Ms. McLeod received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Colorado, Denver, Colorado in 1992. She is licensed in the delivery of Nitrous Oxide and anesthesia. She is also licensed to practice Dental Hygiene in the state of Arizona.
She started her dental career at age 17. She has worked at the front desk, as a lab technician, and a Dental Hygienist for the past 18 years. Her philosophy is simple; "Treat the patient with dignity and respect and they will respond." She uses gentle, positive instruction to assist each patient in achieving their individual goals for oral health. Lisa seeks to know each patient individually, thereby understanding their unique personal circumstances and needs. She then determines with the patient what is important to them. Together they work toward accomplishing their mutual goals.
In the healthcare field, new advances occur daily. Lisa is a strong believer in education. She has maintained a high level of continuing education every year since she has graduated. Furthermore, she believes that a healthy mouth and body lead to a more satisfying life.
While away from work, Lisa enjoys her family, nature and landscaping her home. Her latest project was a backyard pond. You will find Lisa to be very creative in her life and her patient care.

Kathleen Contreras – Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (E.D.D.A.)

Kathleen began her career in dentistry 8 years ago. As her interest and ambition grew, she decided to return to school and become an expanded duties Dental Assistant, graduating top of her class. Her highest priority is to make her patients feel at ease during their dental treatment. Kathleen easily accomplishes this with her calm and quiet disposition that creates a relaxing atmosphere.

Lisa has a healthcare background and is happy to be a part of the dental team. She is currently working behind the scenes in the dental practice. Her main job is bookkeeping and working on special projects. While away from the office she enjoys taking care of her family. Other interests include wakeboarding, scuba diving, and traveling.
